The normal life of the public was affected as it continued to rain in and around Tiruvannamalai from early morning till night on Tuesday.
Tiruvannamalai, Venkikal, Government Office, Deepam Nagar, Adi Annamalai, Athiyanthal and surrounding areas continued to receive rain since Tuesday morning.
Due to this, commercial establishments, including tea shops, restaurants were all deserted. There was also insufficient traffic on the roads.
3 Road accidents: In the afternoon heavy rain started falling in areas including Government Office, Venkikal. At that time, one km from the administration office to Venkikal. 3 road accidents occurred in the distance.
A couple riding a bike in front of the Panchayat office of Venkikal hit the speed barrier there and fell down and got seriously injured.
Similarly, a person riding a bike in front of Aa on Tiruvannamalai - Vellore road tripped and fell down and was seriously injured.
In the next 30 minutes, another person was injured in a road accident in front of the administration office.
